I Sent a Canva Invite to 5 of My Managed Services MS Teammates, Here’s Why
The people who showed up for you deserve to be seen, remembered, and celebrated.
One of them messaged back:
“Wow, with an invite, like a wedding!”
I laughed.
But I also knew exactly why I did it.
My Managed Services (MS) teammates.
They were with me through some of the toughest and weirdest work moments.
The late-night releases.
The last-minute defects.
The kind of bugs that make you question your sanity.
For 7+ years, they were my sounding board, my backup, my “I gotchu” crew.
So yeah, I made an invite with Canva.
They’re soo important to me.
And I wanted them to feel that.
A random “tara, kain tayo if free.” works, too.
But an invite is, me saying:
I see you. I remember. I'd like to spend time together.
That’s the caregiver + service-provider in me.
A little effort
A little color
A little reminder that they’re worth planning for
We don’t always get to say those things directly.
But we can show them in thoughtful ways.
Especially now that I live abroad, these reunions mean more.
It’s rare to sit beside someone who’s been through the same escalation chaos.
Who knows how much you held together on the days it felt like everything was falling apart.
So this dinner?
Yes, it’s a meal.
But more than that, it’s seeing each other again.
1:1.
As people who’ve grown.
I’m looking forward to loud laughs between bites of Bicol Express and Tinapa rice.
Been meaning to catch up with someone?
Don’t wait for a special occasion.
Dinner is a good enough reason.
Even a simple one says:
You’ve come a long way AND you didn’t do it alone.
P.S. if you're the one who feels stuck, maybe not in friendships, but in work?
In a role that no longer fits who you've become?
You don’t have to stay there.
I created this for people like us who’ve given a lot…and are ready for what’s next:
